Actually, there had been two Maserati A6G series in 1951-57. Both used an evolution of the A6 chassis, a simple, robust tubular assembly spanning a 102-inch wheelbase. Like other specialist cars and trucks of these many years, the A6/1500 experienced a conventional independent chassis, with tubular side-rails and cross-users.
