The first someone to the destination and touch the object wins. They like games that give them a feeling of adventure, an opportunity to get lost into a new that is entirely their own. I am without doubt there isn't a single kid (boy or girl) who doesn't love playing games (not talking about the exceptions). Your kids watch you and do what must even they will don't need to.
